Special Birds: Common Cranes

The east of Hungary sees 10s of 1000s of Common Cranes Grus grus visit and stop-over every autumn. For example, last week 22,550 were counted in Hortobagy area. By the end of October around 100,000 can be present. It is a true birding spectacle. Numbers have steadily increased in recent years.
